Cairo study grants
PA Wellington Two young New Zealand farmers, Sean Murphy (Patea) and' Andrew Warren (Palmerston North), have been granted scholarships to attend five-month agricultural courses in Egypt. The ■ men met the Egyptian Ambassador to Wellington Sorour) on Saturday before flying to Egypt to catch up on the courses which began on July 1 at the Egyptian
International Centre for Agriculture in Cairo. One will study land and water development, with particular attention to reclaimed land and irrigation, the other will deal with community development. co-operatl. and agricultural •.conomics. An embassy spokesman said the scholarships had been offered by the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture through the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
