Humes buys out A.C.I.
Humes, Ltd. has acquired the remaining 50 per cent of the issued capital of ACISloane Pty, Ltd. This was purchased from the American group, R. and G. Sloane Manufacturing Company, Inc, for $2,250,000. .As Humes paid $2,250,00 to ACI for its 50 per cent share in ACI-Sloane Pty., Ltd, the total cost to Humes is $4,500,000. ACI-Sloane Pty. Ltd, produces PVC fittings at its • plant in Melbourne. These fittings are marketed nationally under the GSR trademark.
Humes also acquired from A.C.I. the total issued capital of ACI - Nylex — a leading supplier of polythene pipe to the Australian market:
