New Mosgiel offer
PA Wellington' Another big offer had been made for Mosgiel, Ltd, the Minister of Trade and Industry (Mr AdamsSchneider) told Parliament last evening. The offer is believed to be the one put together by the secondary debenture holders of the company, led by Broadbank. However, it involves some Government funding and must be considered by the Cabinet on Monday. The Government had also received a series of offers from individual companies interested in certain aspects of the Mosgiel organisation, he said. “They have all been sent down to the receivers, as the law -requires,” Mr Adams-Schneider said. He said the original proposal from Alliance for Mosgiel was not soundly based, but the .Government had told Alliance that it was willing to consider a revised proposal.
