Theatre Royal loan approved by council

“They have done the city a great service.” Cr Mollie Clark, said the city could not afford not to save the theatre. The council toan will come from the historic buildings fund. It will be available after the council is satisfied that the theatre company is a charitable and non-profit organisation. All theatre profits would be ’ returned to the theatre for such things as renovation and publicity.
