Hurdler injured

PA New Plymouth The Waikato Hurdles winner, Phrase, has broken down and is unlikely to race again till next season. Phrase, which was to have competed in Australia next month, was being ridden by K. T. Myers, a son of the owner-trainer, Mr W.- D. Myers, Hawera, yesterday morning when he pulled up sore. Phrase is thought to have suffered a ligament injury.
