Fishermen adrift

PA Wellington A 13-metre fishing vessel with -‘two sick crewmen aboard, was drifting in heavy seas off Cape Campbell last night after her engine failed. The cargo ship Union Lyttelton and the coastal tanker Kotuku have been sent to the vessel’s aid. Both crewmen of the wooden-hulled Lister Enterprise, . last reported to be drifting 15km off Cape Campbell, are suffering from seasickness. Conditions in the area are; said to be very bad. A spokesman for the; Search and Rescue co-ordina-tion centre at Rongatai Airport, Lieutenant R. D. Foley, said seas were heavy with winds gusting up to 35 knots.
