Another opening
To sendee the expanding interests of the company, Sedley Wells has just opened a new head office, warehouse and service depot in Wairakei Road. The large, modem building allows the company to centralise all its administrative functions and to provide a better service to both customers and branch shops. Tne position of the centre is in line with the company’s expansion into the north-west suburbs and makes deliveries to the Riccarton, Northlands and new Bishopdale branches very much more simple than previously, when stock was stored in the central city area. Deliveries are made from the new warehouse every day, enabling customers to order an - 'iance and
have it delivered free of charge within 24 hours. The building also provides a central location to which branch buyers can come as often as necessary to replenish their stocks. ; A new service, and one which the company believes will be popular, is the drive-in repair shop which the new complex incorporates. With transport costs rising so sharply- ip recent times the expense of picking up and delivering faulty appliances has! become prohibitive. '■ v A drive-in bay where customers can drop ■ off their own appliances for repairs or servicing will-keep costs to a minimum a saving which is passed on to the public. The drive-in area is covered to keep the operation dry and the company’s service-men will, if necessary, come out to a car to collect an appliance.
