Youngster sold to Australia

Mr Nick Wigley, manager of the Inglewood Stud, recently negotiated the sale of a Beaufort Sea-Jet Girl colt to Australia.

The youngster will race in the same interests as Windrose, a Beaufort Sea filly which caused a sensation at Sandown in January when she dropped dead just as she appeared to have the Chicquita Stakes won. Windrose’s connections showed how highly they regarded this youngster when they paid $3OOO for the filly’s dam Rose-a-Lay with a Beaufort Sea colt at foot at the White Robe Lodge sale in February. Rose-a-Lay will return to Beaufort Sea next season.
