New Zealand’s first trading office in Saudi Arabia has been opened by MathiasLWR, Ltd, in Jeddah, on • the Red Sea coast. Mr Garth Davis, the company’s representative, is
concentrating on trade development with Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Egypt. A joint venture with the Saudi firm of Abbar and Zainy has also been ’ formed. s Already, orders have been
taken for New Zealandbuilt jet boats and cabin cruisers, and food products, and negotiations are underway for the establishment in Saudi Arabia of food processing plants.
