NZPA Berne New Zealand formally ended its reluctant involvement with the Palestine Liberation Organisation in Berne yesterday with the issue virtually back where it started. Talks chaired by the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon)' aimed at reaching agreement on whether the P.L.O. should be given observer stab's at future International Monetary Fund meetings ended in a split decision in Paris last Monday. i Only a brief press statement was issued after the meeting, allowing Mr Muldoon time to speak to his successor as I.M.F. Chairman, Tanzania’s Minister of Finance (Mr Amir Jamal). The call was made yesterday. Mr Muldoon told the NZPA afterwards: “He’s now got the hot potato I had in Belgrade.”
