Indoor bowls title
A total of 250 Canterbury indoor bowls players, forming the biggest representation of any association, will, take part in the National Championships at Nelson over the next week. Total entries of 3085 are down on previous championships. A feature of the event is the entry of three Australian champions, Audrey Dryden,
Clarice Power and Nina Honey, who have previously played in New Zealand with the Australian representative team. ; : While it is difficult to predict national winners, ’ Alf Williamson, past winner of the pairs, should perform well. He has had an impressive lead-up this season, culminating In his win in the Queeri’s Birthday open pairs.
