Annual production of beneficiated bauxite is currently 10,000.000 tonnes per year and is to be increased over the next five years. The planning of this expansion will be carried out by the Technical Services Department at Weipa. with input from our Engineering Group based in Brisbane. Due to inter-group transfers and promotion of staff at Weipa, there are a number of vacancies in technical services for both new graduates and experienced engineers Technical services is a multi-disciplinary group fewaESK comprising mechanical, civil, mining, chemical and electrical engineers, IS'AVx surveyors, chemists, geologists, draftsmen/women and requisite technical and fiX./J clerical assistants to provide designs, operational plans and construction supervision for a wide range of mining, processing and township services.
