Fighting continues Fighting between Iranian Government troops and Kurdish autonomists continued yesterday in the western city of Sanandaj, despite a six-hour truce called by the army , so that it could remove the wounded and dead who have been lying in the streets for days. Each side blamed the other for violating the truce, and their cas- ■ ualty reports conflicted. The army said 20 soldiers were injured when Kurdish guerrillas fired on troops trying ' to remove bodies and bring aid to the city’s people. A Kurdish source said 12 Revolutionary Guards and two guerrillas were killed in fighting ■■ after the army and the guards violated the truce.—Teheran. Blacks arrested About 15 people were arrested after incidents between demonstrating students and police at the Turfloop University for blacks, at Pietersburg, north-east of Johannesburg, the newspaper, “Sunday Post,” has reported. ' Vance, who resigned over the aborted rescue mission ’in Iran, says the White House National Security Adviser should stop making foreign policy. In an interview with the “Observer” in London, Mr Vance brought his well-known battle with Zbigniew Brzezinski; into the open, but without mentioning the presidential adviser by name. “The National Security Adviser should act as a co-or-dinator of various views. But he should Jnot be the one who makes foreign policy or who expresses foreign policy to the public. That is the task of the President and the Secretary of State.” — London. Village protest Nuclear-power opponents with pigs, goats, and chickens have begun building a wooden hut for an “antiatom village” to prevent testdrilling at a planned nuclear waste dump site in Gorleben, northern Germany. Some 3000 anti-nuclear demonstrators occupied a spot in the village where a second Shaft is to be drilled to test whether the site is suitable for the dump.
