Huka Falls inquiry

PA Rotorua A committee of inquiry, will examine the management of the Lake Taupo control gates after the disappearance of an Auckland doctor on the Waikato River during the week-end. Dr Max Pearl, aged 56, of Auckland, was trapped by the waters released into the Waikato River when the control gates were opened on Sunday. Dr Pearl was swept over the Huka Falls, The Taupo Borough Council on Monday evening decided to set up a committee of inquiry, into control of the gates on the river. Cr R.
