TV artist denies ‘ageing’ Clark
PA Aucklanc A television make-up artist has denied a statement made in the Melbourne Coroner’s Court, that she had helped'to disguise Ter rence John Clark, the leadei of a drugs ring. The statement was mad; by a witness referred tc only as Miss X. She gave evidence at the inquest of e New Zealand couple Douglas and Isabel Wilson, whose bullet-ridden bodies were found at Rye Beach, 7f kilometres from Melbourne in May last year. Miss X said that Clark after being acquitted in s New Zealand Court or charges of importing drugs tried unsuccessfully to entei Australia several times using various disguises. He finally returned tc Australia in November. 1978 wearing a grey wig anc made up to look “like an ok man of 50,” she said. Clarl had told her that one of the televisions stations in New Zealand had done the make up.
