Trainers fined
After the best part of. a season since last they took any action against trainers who fail to notify the drivers of horses in the legs of T.A.B. double races, the stipendiary stewards invoked the regulations at Ashburton on Saturday. The stipendiary stewards requested a list of offenders from the secretary of the club (Mr Trevor Robertson) and later imposed $lO fines on R. Caskey, J. Boyd, ,T« Leitch, F. Fletcher, R. Curtin, W. Lowe, A. Sutherland, 1 W. Butt, Mrs M. Holmes, W< Stevenson, R. Nyhan and F, Holmes. . A fine of $2O was imposed on D. Jones for two?offences.
