No trace has been found of Mr Tom Burley, aged 83, who strayed from' Sea; view. Hospital. Hokitika, last Wednesday -afternoon, in spite of searches throughout the week-end. ; The police now hold
grave fears for his safety. Sergeant R. J. O’Connell, of the Hokitika police, said last evening that some areas had been searched three times.
Rough country and heavy bush lay behind the hospital, with mineshafts and swamps further away.
