Rental fees at the Christchurch Town Hall will increase from May 1.

The manager of the Town Hall (Mr B. P. Charges for the Limes Room, Conference Room, and Cambridge Room will rise between $4 and $6 and charges for hiring the foyer will rise from $825 to $9OO. Basic performance rentals will increase from $1650 to $lB5O, and from $2lOO. to $2300 on a public holiday. Rates for conventions will rise from between $lOO and $250. Mr Connell said that in the last financial year, $30,139 of reduced rentals had been •given to non-profit local organisations which hired facilities at a 40 per cent reduction. •
