Hospital Board’s painting job
Sir, — For something like nine months I have driven daily past the North Canterbury Hospital Board’s Whakafata House in Montreal Street During this time I have noticed with
interest the renovating and painting that has gone on with this building. Now it seems finished; or is it? When will the fence facing Montreal Street be painted to. match. the new-louk exterior of the building?; At the moment ; it is a disgrace and an eyesore. — Yours, etc.,
” ALAN G. JAMIESON. April 3, 1980.
[Mr R. I. Parker, chief executive, North Canterbury Hospital Board, replies: “We were pleased that your cor-: respondent has noticed the transformation of Whakatata House in Montreal Street into what is a very attractive North Canterbury Hospital Board child and family guidance centre. Ao the correspondent will note, some of the corrugated iron fencing had to be replaced and this was let weather before the whole fence was painted. The fence is scheduled to be painted on Monday, April 21, along with some areas of the interior of the building, and the project will be completed in early May.”] . ■
