Sir Willoughby Smiles paints his kitchen

Incredible 94 years old. Sir Willoughby Smiles completed the painting of his kitchen in just one afternoon using paint from Hurst and Drake. Now open on Saturday mornings, Hurst and Drake have seven home decorating shops offering this Saturday morning service and poor old Sir Willoughby who didn’t (or couldn’t) travel too far went to the nearest one and just said “10 litres of paint please” to the friendly man behind the counter. This happened at 10.15 a.m. on Saturday morning. By 5 p.m. the kitchen was painted. Sir Smiles was smiling about the great service and the great selection at Hurst and Drake (seven home decorating shops now open Saturday morning). — Advertisement.
