The Branch has approximately 4500 members employed throughout the Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson and Westland Industrial Districts. It is one of three branches of the New Zealand Labourers’ Union which has a membership in excess of 14,000. The Branch has a full time staff of eight, four of whom are directly involved in attending to industrial matters, and the remainder concerned with the general administration and membership requirements.
