West Ham reaches final
NZPA-Reuter London The second division side, West Ham, has reached the final of the English F.A. Cup after beating Everton, 2-1, in a semi-final-replay. But it must wait to find out'its final opponents, after Liverpool and Arsenal drew the other semi-final replay, 1-1-West Ham clinched its place in the final in extra time after the first 90min failed to. produce a goal.
Alan Devonshire gave West Ham the lead five minutes- into extra time. Bob Latchford equalised with, six minutes left and there were only two minutes remaining when Frank Lampard headed West Ham’s winner. West Ham is the fourth second division to reach the F.A. Cup final in the last eight vears, Sunderland, I Fulham, and Southampton ihaving done it during the seventies.
