Optical suffered from Australian loss
PA Auckland .Optical Holdings, . Ltd, says in.a preliminary report on the year to December 31 that net profit fell 18.5 per cent to $167,579. This was in spite of an increase of $560,000 or 13.7 per cent in outside sales to $4,650,000 including exports. However, - export sales fell $27,116, or 7.0 per cent, to $361,534.
h The chairman (Mr J. G. iTuck), said that Australian i subsidiaries suffered a loss .of $20,000, compared with a j profit of $50,000 in 1978. Domestic and export results for the second halfyear were disappointing, he . said. The directors are recomehding an unchanged divii dend of 6.25 c a share (12.5 per cent), payable on Junfj 6.
