s Department of WMIM Trade and Industry EXPORT TO IRAQ Iraq’s rapid economic growth and ambitious development projects are creating new opportunities for New Zealand exporters. On a recent visit to New Zealand Iraq’s Minister of Trade emphasised that for exporters the key to success could be participation in the BAGHDAD INTERNATIONAL FAIR (1-15 October 1980) Government organisations which purchase about 90% of Iraq's imports do much of their buying at the Fair. The Department of Trade and Industry will sponsor a New Zealand exhibit at this year’s Fair and invites interested companies to participate. There are good prospects for agricultural products and equipment, building materials, foodstuffs, forestry equipment, forklift trucks, furniture, packaging materials and other manufactured items.
