Property Market
Glenowne Farm, which was passed in at auction last week at $255,000, has been sold by private negotiation for an undisclosed sum. The 564.9 hectare property, in Cheviot which has a 1979 Government valuation of $231,000, has a Crown renewable lease. It was described as excellent grazing and fattening land, and included a three bedroom weatherboard house plus the usual farm outbuildings. About 65 people attended the auction, which was taken by Mr H. Morrison of palgety Ltd. Mr Morrison said he expected more interest in the property, but he was quite happy with the sale.
