Nude man roams beach
A naked man roamed the sandhills at South Brighton yesterday, shocking several families who. had gone to the beach to enjoy the warm weather. The man confronted a number of men, women, and children, according to the police. One person went to a telephone box and called the police but the man was nowhere to be seen-by the time they, arrived, , Several people at the beach were able to-give the police a description -of the man and a search was mounted. About 4 p.m. a CJ.B. patrol caught a man wearing shorts in Bridge Street, New Brighton, after a brief chase.
The man, aged 28, was arrested and later charged with obscene exposure. He will appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning.
