Oils brighten dull market
Share prices continued to wallow in light turnover on Australian stock exchanges yesterday as London investors assessed the effects of the new United Kingdom Budget, and as weak metal and gold prices took their toll on the mining boards. The likelihood of further interest rate rises hampered activity in industrial shares.
