' Spy boat sunk’
NZPA-Reuter Seoul South Korean forces have sunk what the Defence Ministry described as an armed North Korean espionage boat off the south-east coast. Four southerners were killed by northern fire in the incident. The incident occurred two days after three heavilyarmed North Korean agents were shot dead as they crossed a river south of the demilitarised zone dividing the two Koreas, according to the Ministry’s counter-es-pionage headquarters. It said the North Korean ship was first sighted about 19km off Pohang, about 230 km south-east of Seoul, on Tuesday. A patrol boat ordered it to stop, but the nothern ship opened fire. South Korean Navy and Air Force units chased the ship and sank it about three hours later. Delegates of the two Koreas are due to hold a fourth round of talks on arranging a meeting between their Prime Ministers, who will in turn discuss possible reunification.
