Eyesight tests on umpires
NZPA London Wimbledon umpires will probably have their eyes tested before this year’s championships begin on June 23. The Lawn Tennis Umpire# Association of Great Britain said that it was introducing a sophisticated system of sight testing, which will be used not only to vet prospective members but also to check present officials. The system is designed to include a special investigation at fields of vision, squints, and colour deficiencies.
