McLeod death probe continues
NZPA London Scotland Yard is still seeking a third man in connection with the murder last month of the N ew Zealander, Roderick McLeod, aged 23.
The wanted man has not been named and no description has been issued. Police at the Earlsfield police station in South London yesterday declined to comment other than to confirm their inquiries had not been completed. The two men already charged with the murder of Mr. McLeod, the brothers Glen and Malcolm McComb, aged 19 and 23, appeared again in the district Magistrate’s Court, at Battersea, south London on Monday and were again remanded in custody. One white and seven West Indian youths charged with causing an affray in connection with the attack on the Balham pub in which Mr McLeod worked as a barman, have now been released on bail.
A police spokesman told the Court that previous objections to their release from custody — based on fears that they could severely hamper the further investigations — were “now void.” He gave no indication in court of what inquiries were outstanding. A committal hearing is not expected until June at the earliest* ' J
