Sought man surrenders
PA Napier A man surrendered to the Napier armed offenders squad and was taken into; custody after an incident at' Te Haroto, 70km from Na- ! pier, on the Napier-Taupo road soon after 1 p.m. yesterday. The squad had been called; out two hours earlier after a woman had allegedly been assaulted and threatened with a .303 rifle in a house in the small settlement. The woman was allegediv ‘ hit over the head with a rifle. Although her injuries were not -considered serious i she was taken to Napier; Hospital for treatment. ;
