B.H.P. steel output up
NZPA Sydney The Broken Hill Proprietary Co.,' Ltd, continued on its path towards record production for 1979-80 when it lifted February raw steel production by 10 per cent to 649,000 tonnes. This was 14 per cent down on the record 754,000 tonnes produced in. January, but it takes the group’s production for the nine months' to 6.2 million . The nine-month figure is a 12 per cent increase on the 5.6 M tonnes produced for the same period in 1978-79.
