Drug-smuggler escaper ‘gave up like a lamb’
NZPA Perth 'The escaped New Zealand drug smuggler, Peter Lawrence Miller, aged 31, “gave up like a lamb” when arrested on his way to Sydney late on Friday, said a police spokesman. •Detectives said the weary, -unshaven Miller, who escaped from Barton’s Hill low-security prison at Perth last Monday, offered no resistance when stopped east of Balladonia on the Eyre, highway, about 1060 km south-east of Perth. j !A second escaper, George M,ennie, aged 29, a convicted heroin dealer, was arrested with Miller in a car they were driving towards the West Australia-South Australia border.
