A fencing occasion
The most modem fencing systems, techniques, and equipment will be displayed, demonstrated and discussed at a two-day gathering to be held at Lincoln College on April 22 and 23. The object is to bring together workers in the practical fanning industry and research. More than 40 trade stands will cover every aspect of fencing. Proceedings will start at 9.30 a.m. on both days and wind up about 4.30 p.m. There will be no admission charge and anyone with an interest in fencing of any sort will be welcome. Refreshments will be available throughout the two days and there will-be ample parking facilities. Speakers on each of the two days will include: Mr W. Fletcher, Gallagher Electronics, Ltd, on electric fencing; Mr J. Gallagher, Zakahuri, on intensive farm development
with fencing; Mr D. Yerex on deer fencing; Mr M. Headley, Forest Research Institute, on timber pre-/ servation; and staff of the New Zealand Agricultural Engineering Institute on fence durability. .. Farmers with new ideas 1 in. fencing will be able to enter them in a competition sponsored by the “New Zealand Farmer.” There will be $2OO in prizes for fencing inventions and $5O for new fencing methods.
