New electoral chief
PA Wellington Mr P. C. Horne has been appointed RegistrarGeneral and Chief Electoral Officer. The appointment was announced by the Secretary for Justice (Mr J. F. Robertson). Mr Horne, aged 54, will take up the post in May, replacing Mr J. L. Wright, who will retire. Mr Horne has been Mr Wright’s deputy since May,. 1978.
