Bus-body contract
PA Auckland A Takanini coach-building firm has won an order valued at nearly $4 million to supply 200 bus bodies to a big Singapore company, Singapore Bus Services, Ltd. The bodies will be shipped to Singapore from New Zealand in . completely-knocked-down form. Hawke Coachwork, Ltd, a New Zealand Motor Corporation subsidiary, won the order in competition - with several British and Australian firms. The order represents half of a tendered contract for 300 bus bodies.
