B.H.P. oil find

The Vinck No. 1 well on the Exmouth Plateau is at a depth of 3807 metres, B.H.P. reports. A core cut from 3796 to 3807 metres recovered a 100 per cent sand section of moderate porosity, containing shows of light hydrocarbons. Preparations are now being made to cut a second core, the report said.
