NZPA-Reuter Sun City, Arizona Jan Stephenson of Australia defeated Marilyn Smith of New Zealand by one stroke in the $lOO,OOO Sun City golf classic yesterday. Ms Smith shot a 66, tied for low round of the tournament, and took secorid place
and $9BOO. Ms Stephenson’s fourth victory on -the L.P.G.A. tour was worth $15,000. Her winning score was 275. . Bonnie Lauer, who was one stroke behind Ms Stephenson going into the last round, carded a 72 and finished third on 277.
