Age-group diving titles
Three divers have won two titles each, after two days at the New Zealand age-group diving championships at Queen Elizabeth II Park. Sally Lindberg, Matt Connors and Katie Connors, all from Auckland, are the trio who won their second titles yesterday. All three won their events by clear margins, in contrast to the first day when several titles were not decided until the last round of dives.
For her efforts Miss Lindberg won the lan Dunsmuir Memorial Trophy awarded to
the best female diver in the age-group championships. Two other trophies were awarded yesterday and both were vzon by Greg Cooney (Bay of Plenty). He won the Hansell’s Trophy for the highest points by an agegroup diver and the Benson Cup for being the best male diver. Results were:— BOYS Fifteen. 16 and 17 years three metre.—J.
