Ariana sold
Special Correspondent New Plymouth The good ' raceniare, Ariana, has been bought by a New Plymouth syndicate and if she has any further racing it will be from the Bell Block stable of M. K. Smith. Smith, who is a member of the syndicate which purchased Ariana from Mrs C. Burgess, of Woodville, said yesterday it had not been decided if the mare would race again. He added- that, whatever happened, Ariana would visit Imposing at Ra Ura Stud in the spring. Ariana has been trained throughout her career by Percy Burgess, husband of the mare's former owner and she won six races and recorded 13 minor placings for just under $25,000.
