The position is wholly administrative and special importance will be attached to previous hospital administrative experience. The Superintendent-in-Chief shall be responsible to the Board for the efficient direction, control and management of all matters relating to the clinical care and welfare of patients including all such staff as are concerned therewith. The Superintendent-In-Chief shall also be responsible for advising the Board about the nature, need adequacy and quality of existing and proposed clinical services. The salary will be either: — Specialist Automatic Scale: $23,058-$29,683 per annum, or— Higher Grading: $31,570-$39,069 per annum. The actual scale and commencing rate within the scale will be determined according to the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
