Share prices were firmer in active trading’ on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Ivon Watkins-Dow gained 8c to 180 c after announcing a higher profit and dividend in its latest year and also proposing a bonus issue. Cooks N.Z. Wine eased lc to 125 c in busy trading, in spite of reporting a higher profit in its first six months. Local meat companies continued to improve: Canterbury Frozen Meat rose lc to 178 c and vvaitaki N.Z. Refrigerating 2c ex dividend to 158 c.
