Coast tax relief
PA Welilngton Farmers on the West Coast of the South Island, hit by wet weather since November would qualify for tax relief, the Minister in charge of the Inland Revenue Department (Mr Templeton), has said, lahan) on Tuesday. This would apply to farmers in the Westland, Buller, Grey and Inangahua districts. Mr Templeton said relief would be given where farmers had been forced to sell their stock because of a feed shortage and when stock replacement had to be deferred.
