Z|\ New Zealand W Forest Service TENDERS are Invited from established loggers for logging in Hokonul and Longwood State Forests. 1. PRODUCTION requirements: a) Longwood Forest — P. radiata — clearfelling 5700 cubic metres per annum. b) Longwood Forest — Douglas fire — thinning 2000 cubic metres per annum. c) Hokonul Forest — Douglas fir — clearfelllng 5000 cubic metres per annum. d) Production of smallwood arisings may be required, and tenderers should indicate a willingness to undertake this work subject to satisfactory price negotiation. All include loading on truck. Production by one gang is intended with moves between forests as necessary to suit requirements of log sales. Skidder logging, boom or crane type loading. 2. Term of contract — April 1, 1980 to March 31, 1981, with right of renewal for 4 subsequent 12-monthly periods subject to continued availability of work. 3. Separate prices per cubic metre are required for each of 1 a, b and c above, and tenderers should be explicit on provision for moves between forests. These moves will be the contractors responsibility. 4. Contract wall be let in accordance with the current N.Z. Forest Sendee draft contract document. The contract Second Schedule is available from the office of the undersigned and from the District Rangers, Invercargill and Tuatapere. 5. The contract First Schedule will include provision for price increases to compensate for escalation in the cost of fuel and wages occurring during the term of the contract. Such increases would be directly related to the respective portions of the tendered price formed by these items, a breakdown of which must be included in the tender. 6. Inspection of areas and cutting plans by arrangement with the Officers-in-Charge Longwood and Hokonul Forests. 7. Tenderers are required to state equipment to be used. 8.
