PSST! There is a businessman in Christchurch who was very keen on jogging. But he injured a knee nlaying squash, and can jog no more. So he had his wife purchase, from the P;S;I:S. shop one of those exercise bicycles which can get the blood coursing vigorously through the veins before breakfast. However he had trouble with the machine, and there were various repairs. Just the other day, he meunted it for his usual work-out, and a few bits fell off. So he took it to a cycle shop. But as it was still under warranty, he decided, when he had reached his office, to advise the P.S.I.S. of the trouble.
He called them by telephone, asked if it was the P. 5.1.5., and was told .it was. He then asked for the cycle counter.' There was a strange silence. Then the person at the other end suggested our businessman had to be joking. “I just want the cycle counter," he replied. “We only deal with' Russian ambassadors here,” was the answer. All of which goes to show that when you have a contraption On your desk which has buttons, is labelled with the alphabet, to give you quick access to frequently used telephone numbers, and when you want to put P.S.I.S. on your list, you- should not look up the number of the S.I.S.
