Tempest Tiger picked

Tiger, to be driven by Jack Smolensk!, looks a ’‘leg in” in the Blampieds Breeders Stakes, the second leg of the T.A.B. double at the Invercargill Trotting Club's twilight meeting this evening. The race has attracted a fine field, including Idolmite, Flora Dor, Glen Moria, Royal Illusion and Karalea. But they seem faced with a hopeless task against th e powers of Tempest Tiger, impressive winner of the New Zealand Messenger at Auckland at her last start.
Karalea, from Maurice Kerr's stable, might be Tempest Tiger’s toughest rivals Idolmite is the most tightly-assessed pacer in the field but her handleap of 30m puts the job in front of her. New Avert], a solid third at Gore on Friday, will be hard to beat in the first leg of the T_AJ3. double, the Discount Handicap.
