Wood the wonder fuel
More and more the world returns to natural things, food, fabrics, fashions and family warmth. There is a big trend to the living warmth of wood. Low. cost, plentiful, renewable and (with the LOG FIRE) efficient. Wood allows the fireplace to again take its place as the heart of the house. The LOG FIRE, designed in New Zealand, burns wood twice to make maximum use of each log and results show an average of 80 per cent fuel saving. Savings can be achieved in cutting too — logs can be up to 500 mm (20 inches) long and 200 mm (8 inches) through. One log can last the whole night and half a dozen a day is ample for normal use. A simple control gives almost instant response from a low heat to full blaze in minutes. Due to the high efficiency the wood is reduced to a small amount of fine ash — the LOG FIRE gives better service with the ash left in — for up to six weeks. The glass door in the modern cabinet allows you to see the flame in the “built to last” solid plate steel combustion chamber. The LOG FIRE by Kent Heating has been thoroughly tested including five years of almost non-stop use and .is covered by a comprehensive 12 month warranty. Avon Central Heating and Kent have been a team in the heating field for many years and can offer specialist advice and service. Avon Central Heating, Ltd, are at 505 Moorhouse Avenue, Telephone 69-748. — Advertisement.
