The appointee will be required to carry out operating lists, outpatient sessions for newly referred cases and for follow-up of patients ward rounds and consultation work from other hospital specialists. SPECIALIST PSYCHIATRIST (WHOLE-TIME) THIS POSITION IS ONE of two whole time specialist psychiatric posts in the Tauranga Hospital Adult Psychiatric Unit. This unit services outpatient and daypatient programmes and has 24 inpatient beds. There are fully staffed support services in nursing, district nursing, psychology, social work and occupational therapy. A separately staffed centre deals with children with psychiatric problems. The duties of the position include regular ward rounds, case conferences and outpatient consultations.
