Another big shipment of wool for China
Another large shipment of wool for China will be loaded aboard the Danish vessel Dorit Skou at Lyttelton next week. The 6622-ton Dorit Skou will arrive from Newcastle and depart for Napier to finish loading. She is expected to load about 10,000 bales of wool at Lyttelton. Owned by Ove Skou, of Copenhagen, she is one of 24 “Skou” vessels ranging from 500 to 15,761 tons gross. Two vessels, the Seatide and the City of Exeter, took on a total of more than 20,500 bales of wool for China at Lyttelton, in No-' vembor , Tne Soviet Union has also become a heavy buyer of New Zealand wool: seven ships will have been loaded at Lyttelton alone in the six months to April.
