Misbehaviour charges

David George Chapman, aged 28, an engineer, denied three charges arising from incidents in the crowd during the international one-day cricket match at Lancaster Park, on Wednesday when he appeared before Mr P. M. Browne, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Chapman is alleged to have used obscene language, to have behaved in a disorderly manner, and to have resisted a constable in the execution of his duty.

On all these charges he was remanded at large to April 14 for a defended hearing. Counsel (Mr S. C. Barker) said bail would be sought in the Supreme Court.
